Can I get 71-72 5 lug disc brake hoses at autoparts store?..

I need to replace the 40 YO soft rubber lines..

Awhile back I asked autozone/oriellys/advance. And they said they could only get 1 side. Are both sides the same and can I pick these up at autoparts store...

I think I saw some in brothers/lmc/ECE....is there a diff. between quality of them? where could I find braided hoses

I got mine from NAPA. There is a difference and I think it is the hose to line fitting size. I ran all new lines for the whole truck and I had to use driver side hoses on both because my line fittings were the same on both sides and I think the factory fittings are different from driver to passenger sides.

I just bought a pair at Oreillys a few weeks ago. They are the same length, but the fittings that screw into the flare nuts are different sizes.

Check amazon.com also. They are usually cheaper than rockauto and have free ground shipping on most items. I personally got mine at NAPA before I knew amazon was in the parts business.

I bought some brake parts for my truck from Amazon and wouldn't recommend it. Not only did they send me a power brake master cylinder when I ordered one for manual brakes, I also ended up with rear brake drums for a Nissan Sentra! Amazon's got a lot of bugs to work out of their system before I'll buy parts from them again!

How long ago was that? How did you come up with the part numbers? Just curious.

That was several months ago. Amazon gives the part numbers which can be double checked, but they use so many different vendors you never know if what you ordered is what you'll get until it arrives.

Already answered I know. Any store should be able to get them. AcDelco has them also. We sell them so the Big boys should be able to get them. As far as quality? Its like anything else. Braided you can get most anywhere for less than $100.00 easily. We sell hoses for these trucks also lengthend for slammed vehicles
