Question Help on a small interior part

can anyone tell me what year of chevy these door pannels are for

and where I can find one of these either OEM or re-production, LMC don't have these ones, they have similar but not the same.

the truck that I pulled them from was a 78 or 79 c10 and the dash said Silverado but the fenders said Scottsdale, the previous owner re-stored the truck as far as I could tell cause the door behind these pannels was black and silver while the truck was 2 tone brown metallic and buttermilk, the pannels were tan when I got them and I died them maroon to match the rest of my interrior and there are map pockets which I have not installed yet also

I believe they fit 77 through 79, maybe 80. The exact strap covers are only available NOS, generally expensive and much in demand on eBay.

Re: Help on a small interrior part

Chevy or gmc, I was thinking my 79 Serria grande 25 had that trim too but that truck is long gone and I couldn't find the pics of it, it also had wood grain on the dash and around the gauges that much I remember while this truch has brushed aluminum around the gauges and as a incert on the dash, I'm just trying to match up my interrior and really like this trim and want to find the missing peice, if it is GMC trim can someone show me what I should look for to match my 70's Silverado dash?

The door panels are for 77-80. The door strap covers are also available from classic industries and classic parts. The ones from classic industries are NOS and sell for $20, but there is a 15% off sale going on, so that will help out some. Classic parts has them also, but they don't state if they are original GM or not, guess you could call and find out. They are having 10% off for the holidays.

thank you verry much, and I need to know if those door pannels belong with this dash and incert?

if not I will keep trying to find all the rite components to match them up correctly, and you can see the original color of the dash pad and door pannels (setting on the seat) befor I re-died them

Yes, those aluminum door inserts match the aluminum dash.

Re: Help on a small interrior part

The years stated above are correct on the door panels . 77 had a woodgrain insert . 78 -80 had the brushed aluminum . The panels you show are indeed Silverado trim level . A cheyenne trim level is the same except that they do not have the door pull straps . They have a solid trim piece that goes all the way around the brushed alum panel . Very expensive parts to buy new .

Re: Help on a small interior part

thank you, I'll be searching the junkyards for that part befor I order one being as I only spent $70 on the dash, door pannels, and a perfect windsheild and they want $20 for one of those
one other question I have is could you get a silverado without AC? I want to find the aluminum incert for the dash WO the AC vents otherwise I'll end up installing the ac and don't really need it on a toy
