Wiw.......65
Just trying to get a ball park idea what this truck might be worth.....It's just a roller.

Re: Wiw.......65
Overall it looks pretty decent and has some options on it. Before I would make an offer on it, I would try and determine how much body rust and such was covered up with primer. Also look and see why that front bumper is so crooked. Prices seem to vary by where you're located. Where I'm at I would probably pay $500 for that truck.

Re: Wiw.......65
$1500 would be a good deal if it is straight and fairly rust free, IMHO
Looks to be straight based on the pictures, but basing anything on pictures is problematic. These WIW kind of questions are tough to answer 'cause WIW is based on what your plans are and your skill level based and cash flow to make those plans a reality. The WIW value is also based heavily on what part of the country you live in. A rust free truck located n Ohio is worth more than a rust free truck in Texas, if you live in Ohio and the truck is in Texas. If it is fairly rust free and you don't have body work skills it is worth a helluva lot more than $600 'cause that is less than 2 days worth of professional body work! Mechanicals can be had for cheap, so the fact that it is a roller isn't a big deal. Last edited by lakeroadster; 12-17-2009 at 09:23 AM. |

Re: Wiw.......65
Ronnie:
It appears to be a fairly well optioned '65...it has an automatic, swb, fleetside, windshield trim, anodized aluminum grille, chrome front & rear bumpers, body trim, Custom Cab sails, etc. A few observations, front bumper damage, radio cutout in dash, missing most of the trim and door panels, warning light cluster and an early 60's Chevy car wheel & horn ring. If the body panels are redeemable, I think $1,500.00 is a good deal, even minus the engine/tranny. If the body panels need work, you know the deal! Let us know what you decide and good luck. |
