Steering Column Wiring 70 GMC

I am installing a tilt column from a 72 Chevy in my 70 GMC. The main connector is the same. There is a long grey wire with a connector on the end that I did not have on my old column. Does anyone know where this goes?

Thanks for your help,
Dusty

The grey goes to the cluster feed on your fuse box, Tilts have a bulb rather than fibre-optic.

Pics are blurry, hard to tell. But the additional wire not in the plug should be for the tranny gear selector illumination. I believe there are two types one that has a plug to fit into the one of the dash panel (fiber optic type) and the other type may plug into the fuse box.
