Rams Horn Manifolds
It seems like someone told me here that our trucks originally had "rams horns" manifolds. I've decided that I'm going to ditch the old rusty headers and install some of these manifolds. Soon I'm gonna want to start watching the FS section and maybe ebay or the like trying to find a set for our truck. Not exactly sure what to look for but I heard that maybe the Corvette was once sold with these manifolds and it seems like I remember someone saying the Corvette Manifolds had larger exhaust chambers, if that's the correct way to say it.
Also seems like the Corvette engine was a 327 and mine is a 350. So..question is, "If I'm looking for Corvette manifolds would just any old Corvette ram horn manifolds from any old 327 work?" Should I try to find these from a Corvette or should I stick with stock manifolds that would have come on the truck? Or am I way off base with all of this.

Re: Rams Horn Manifolds
Uh, oh fellas, I did a search and realized I've already asked this same question. Forgive me and don't worry about replying.
From the re-reading of my original post on this, the Corvette manifolds dump straight down and ours should angle to the rear to avoid conflict with the crossmember, or frame or something.

Re: Rams Horn Manifolds
Yes, they all originally had rams horns (the small blocks did). Four-wheel drives dumped straight down, two-wheel drives angled back.
The Corvette one are slightly bigger, but the original truck ones flow well enough that unless you're building some serious horsepower it's not worth the effort and expense putting the 'vette ones on (in my opinion). Rams horns come up frequently on the for-sale board, plus you can buy new ones too.
