Thumbs up New Member / New Owner

Hello from Arkansas.. lol Don't Laugh. I'm not from Arkansas!! Just live there.

I just bought my first 67 tonight. WOOOHOOO

I've been reading over the forum for the last week and can't wait to get started on it. I can't tell you guys and or gals how much I've learned about these trucks in the last week. I was actually telling the guy i bought it from things about the truck HE didn't know. LOL Now i'm not claiming to be any kind of expert on them. But you guys don't know how useful this site is. TWO THUMBS UP!!!

Not much ocean in Bakersfield! Just kidding, I can be @ the ocean in about an hour or so and I very rarely get there.

Re: New Member / New Owner

Thanks not bad i didn't think for $800.00 He told me it ran last august and the fuel pump went out on it he thinks. He was just moving it around the back yard. Said he look into it for a few mins. and it wasn't getting any fuel so that's how he determined it was the pump.

Have any of you personally cut down the frame for a short bed? I have lots of ideas for this truck. I saw an article on the cut down. Only problem is i have a 96 model step side bed i would put on it I just don't know if it's the same length as the Original short bed as far as the frame goes. I guess a little measuring will tell when i get the truck to the house. If anybody close to Arkansas has an Original short bed for sale i would rather put a fleet side on it. Personal Preference. My thoughts on the whole thing were build the truck the way i want it. Put the short step side i have now on it until i find a short fleet that will work for me. I know i'm touching on alot of things. Is this the best place to start these discussions? or should i start a new thread? thanks for the Advice in advance and Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

Sounds like a good price too. Hopefully it is a easy fix to get it running and driving.

There are alot of guys that have cut down frames. And there are also guys that run the newer beds. You can always cut down your long bed into a short bed.

You might wanna check this out....http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=382051
Might find a short frame and a short bed instead of having to cut stuff.

Before you start a new thread in the 67-72 section (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/forumdisplay.php?f=3), I would use the search function in the 67-72 section. There are plenty of threads that ask the same questions you have and plenty of answers. If you don't find what you need, you can always start a new thread, but I would do so in that section.

No problem bro.

BTW: I found your twin for sale here on craigslist, but add 4 thousand to what you paid and that is what he is asking.
