My '63 finally made it to The Netherlands!

I sold my '63 a couple of months ago if you remember. The shipper picked it up on December 4th. It finally made it to The Netherlands a couple of days ago. The new owner is super stoked. I'm glad he's happy and I know he'll really appreciate and take good care of her.

I had an extra windshield (along with a bunch of other extra parts) I sent with the truck. I wrapped the windshield in some bubble wrap and put it in the bed. Somehow it made the trip with no cracks or breaks. I'm amazed!

I've been messing with my '55 2nd series I got in October since selling the '63. I miss the old one, but love the new one even more if that's possible.

Here she is, a stranger in a strange land....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

I loved that truck.

I'd be stoked too if I was the new owner.

It is bittersweet. And as much as I loved the '63, I love the '55 that much more. You're right about her being in good hands. He definately has good taste so I know he'll do her right. This is the same guy that bought "Coupe de Cab", Steve Caballero's Model A.

I'm surprised too, it was only wrapped in bubble wrap. For the '55, I'm doing it as a tribute to my dad's '57 he had back in 1959. I've got a two pot intake with split factory exhaust going on soon. It'll be lowered with a dropped axle up front and flipped rear. Tuck & roll inside. Basically all old, nothing new. I'm going for a very early '60s look.

So far, I've done a new wiring harness, all new ignition parts, and rebuilt the stock carb. The two pot setup is going on in a couple of weeks when my split exhaust manifold gets here. Then lowering and interior. And nice paint on down the line after all that.

Glad to hear it made the trip safely; now get the new owner to join the board.
