I would say that all of the front sheetmetal is out of whack. You will have to straighten whatever is bent before lining up the hood.... LockDoc

Re: lining up the hood?
You need to loosen the bolts that connect the hinges to the hood.
Just barely loosen the bolts on the side that is touching the fender and try to move the hood forward a little. You may have to play around with both sides. There is a possibility that the hinges may have been tweeked. If the back of the hood is sticking up, you need to replace the hinges. I just replaced the hinges on one today. It took about 20 minutes. Good Luck john

Re: lining up the hood?
I would first look at the whole clip to see how everything lines up. fenders to doors hood to valance. you may get away with small adjustments. take your time really look at it. good luck hope this helps ya. Pat

My truck has a tweaked front end. I bought it that way. It got smacked in the right front corner, just hard enough to knock everything out of whack. I have been fighting with shims in the fenders, and hood hinges for quite some time. I still cannot get it to line up right. I'm close... but not as close as I want it to be. Gary |

Re: lining up the hood?
If the sheetmetal of your hood doesn't appear bent, you probably have a couple of tweaked hinges, try opening your hood all the way & pushing hard on the front corner (sideways) in the direction that you need clearance. What you are trying to do is bend the hinges back the way they were. I hope i'm explaining this so you can understand what i'm trying to say. john

Re: lining up the hood?
Check the core support alignment to. I would loosen those bolts up a bit too.
