Cool! I thought mine was pretty common but since it's "rare" I'm really in love with it now.

He's smoking the same stuff a lot of Washington people with their father's or uncle's chevy truck are smoking. I can't tell you how many times I've run into some bonehead who thinks his dad's beat-up '70 LWB is so rare they can't part with it for less than $4000.

Just laugh and move on to the next truck.

Car Collector also has a TON of crap for sale on it too. It seems to be a junk yard for overpriced rustbuckets.

Judging by the amount of mold on the topper, it appears that it was just drug out of the woods. Probably with the aid of a tractor. Keep shopping.....

Ha Ha Ha

You let ANYTHING sit outside in Western Washington for more than 3 weeks and you'll start to grow mold or moss, or mushrooms on it.

You fully underestimate the power of 45 constant degrees and rain EVERY DAY between november and april !!!!!! Ive seen brand new cars develop NW rot in their first year.

The only way I can see it being rare is if the motor doesnt leak oil, now that's rare!

But it has the original paint job. (Looks like it still has all of the original sheetmetal too).

Randy, I wouldn't say *all* of the original sheet metal. I think some of it has parted ways in the form of rust...

I just did an inventory of my garage and back yard. Going by this guy's numbers I figure $100,000.00 will take it all. I'll even throw in the garage for free!. Any takers?!?

MikeP hit it on the nose. There is a 99 astro van at my work that has been sitting for a couple of weeks and is covered in moss. If you don't drive it in this weather make sure it is covered up. I had a car that sat outside this time of year for one month and grew a patch of mushrooms on the rear floor mat.

mikep and chaptr2 are DEAD ON correct. Moisture in this town is a huge problem. I'm forced to keep my truck parked outside, and it drives me crazy. I know it's not helping my rust problem at all.
