Looks like a good start, but $4500 is a lot of $$$ for something that doesn't run.

X2. I mean, what if they frame is powdercoated, disc brake kits already done and installed, body painted, wood bed kit in bed, new lights, bumpers, etc. So it doesn't have to run if 80% of the stuff is done for you and all you have to do is put a drivetrain in it. Just a optimistic way of looking at something. Not saying this is what is really being offered. I'm just saying that $4500 is not a bad price if this was the case. Because looking at the pics of it, it seems to be a decent truck.

Re: 67 big window project for sale in Or.$4500

I don't think whether one of these trucks run's has any effect on the price , the value is in the condition of the truck and how good body is , whether it will start up and run MEANS NOTHING ,

Cool. That is your opinion. Not everyone shares that view.

I have to agree with leddzepp. A vehicle is worth alot less to me if I can't get in it and drive it. I consider a truck that doesn't run or drive.....PARTS. Just my $0.02

Another way to look at it is, if it is a professional paint job it would cost 4 grand to have it done. I know there are a lot of variables. There is no way to know either way without talking to the guy to see what is actually done and what is included...

If I was within 250 miles of him I would certainly go look at it.

Just my 2¢ worth.

X2 - if it doesn't run, you have no idea of it whether it will or not. Driving a vehicle makes a huge difference to me. There are a lot of things you can't determine without getting in and turning the key, especially on a truck that somebody has "gone through".

Re: 67 big window project for sale in Or.$4500

truck looks like a great starting point. I feel like I have spent more on my truck and have less to show.
Also, I love it when people are selling because they have "too many projects" but are willing to trade for another one.

Re: 67 big window project for sale in Or.$4500

I guess I'm old school , the reasoning behind thinking of not buying a truck or car that has a good body because it won't run puzzle's me ?
the mechanical's of these vehicle's are the simplest thing's to fix , and I just never could get in a vehicle and drive it with confidence without going thru the engine and checking everything out myself , as I see it with a truck like the one in this ad the engine is out of the truck that save's me the work of taking it out (LOL) ,,,,
