Help! Door won't open
Yes, it's unlocked.
I put EFD's weatherstrip on this weekend, then did some adjusting of the door mount. The final step was to adjust the striker plate. Guess it needs more adjusting. I can watch the linkage move both with the inside and the outside handles. Once the arm hits the star wheel, it stops dead. Is there a way to loosen things from inside the door, so that the wheel unlocks? I'd rather not beat on the mechanism from the outside, but that may be next.

Re: Help! Door won't open
Sometimes if you push the door shut and press the button it will open. Sometimes you have to push really hard. Chris

Re: Help! Door won't open
Yep, I ran into this when I had new weatherstripping on the 68. I had to lean on the door extremely hard to lock it or unlatch it. Try that.

Re: Help! Door won't open
Pushing like hell didn't get it. The door stopped with one of the tips of the star wheel on the tooth of the striker, rather than dropping down into the valley. Fortunately, I could get a punch against the wheel and get it kicked over. Thanks for the reponses.
