Where to get extended Ubolts for lowering blocks?
Hey guys,
Having my buddy fab me some 2" lowering blocks for my 72 C10 and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a U bolt that was the right length, diameter and bend to install with the blocks that is for a different application? I think its going to need to be about 10.5-11' from the top of the bend to the bottom of the threads. My buddy can make me a set, but he is busy and did me a favor to fab the blocks for me today but has to order more stock to make the bolts. And I am an impatient bastard and want the U bolts now lol. Thanks guys!

Look under "Automotive springs" in your yellow pages. They can make whatever you want... LockDoc

Thanks man, but we don't have a spring shop around here. We have suspension shops, but they just order and install stuff...no fab skills lol.

Re: Where to get extended Ubolts for lowering blocks?
Txfirefighter ( I think ) did a FAQ on making 2 inch lower blocks, in that FAQ i think he mentions the dimensions of the u bolts you are looking for.

Re: Where to get extended Ubolts for lowering blocks?
Well suspension shop was outrageously high
I wanna throw a block back there if imma have to get new u bolts anyway So napa can get me a 2 inch longer block? otherwise i'll call the IA place. I was quoted 60$ for 2 u bolts should I go for it or keep shopping it seems really high!
