rocker arm adjustment
i didnt want to do this while it was running cus of the mess, but is this the best way? i did it by the book and did the 3/4-turn after all the slack was out but it seems i may need to go a lil more. im scared to go too tight but i think i may need to go another 1/8-turn on them all. how do you guys set yours?

Re: rocker arm adjustment
I prefer to do mine running. I have an old valve cover with the top cut off for this. I usually like to turn the idle down to about 450-500. I loosen the rocker until it starts to clack, then tighten until she quiets, then1/2 turn more.

Re: rocker arm adjustment
ok sounds like what i did in the article but it clearly explained why thier a little off. says that if you have a aftrmarket cam , this method can be off a bit and the old man i bought it from said that it had a erson cam in it. so am i better off doing it running? and does the valvecover trick work for centerbolt covers?
