69 front bumper brackets
My '69 C20 is missing the LH outside front bumper bracket. I thought I read some where that if it has power steering, the bracket needs to be modified in order to fit. I would like to install a bracket for the support and to close the square hole on the bumper. Anyone have any info on this? Or have a bracket they can part with? Thanks.

Re: 69 front bumper brackets
I have a set of outer bumper brackets off of a 72 c20 and they look identical to each other. The truck had power steering. I don't see why the brackets would need to be modified. They should bolt up the same. But I'm sure there are other people that know more than I do.

Re: 69 front bumper brackets
i dont think power- manual steering will make the difference. but the bumper brackets that work for bumpers that have turn signals wont work with older style bumpers. i put a 69 bump on my 71 the brackets were different lengths

Re: 69 front bumper brackets
For some reason the brackets listed in LMC catalog (and others) call out part #'s for 67-70 2WD. LMC says that a modification may be necessary when installed on models with power steering. There are different part numbers for 71-72, and also 2WD and 4WD. Looks like I need a LH outer bracket off a 67-70 2WD that had power steering. If it didn't have power steering then I would still need those years, but have to modify it somewhat. I'm guessing that's why it never got installed on my truck.
