I feel honored.
Read this email I received today. All I have to say is WOW.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello Mike, My name is Christa Margene and I work as a Production Assistant at Scripps Productions which is the in house production company for HGTV, The Food Network and DIY the Do It Yourself Network. We are currently in the pre-production stages for an upcoming series Talk2DIY-Automotive. The series is slated for a prime-time slot on the DIY network, and will be reaching over 12 million households beginning 2003. The show has two hosts and every week a different automotive expert comes on the show to help answer questions that our viewers have about their vehicles, whether it's interior, exterior or mechanical. Our experts draw from three different sources to answer these questions: experience, examples and websites. We would like to have the opportunity to reference your website, 73-87.com, on the show. If time permits they may actually get to show a page of the website which then we would put up a link on our site. Please keep in mind that the show has time constraints. If an example goes too long, other segments may have to be taken out for that day. It's not certain that we will be able to reference your website, but we will try our best. In order for this to take place, we would need to have a website release form signed and faxed back to us. If you are interested in being a part of the show, let me know and I will send you a website release form. If you have any questions at all or if you need me to clarify something, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me. I would encourage you to visit our site to see what it's all about, www.diynet.com. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Christa Margene Scripps Productions 9721 Sheryl Blvd. Knoxville, TN 37923 (865) 560-4541 office (865) 690-0121 fax --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have only been on this site for a short while, and I have to do it from work! It makes me exited to come to work everyday, LOL. The info I have revieved and the quality of the site has made me link it to all my friends. I just want to say kudos for all the work it took to produce such a fine site ....
Good job Mike! |

I wonder how they ran across it. Mike you should ask them how they found your site. If you type in "73-87 Chevy Pickup" on www.msn.com, Mike's is #2 on the list. Thats a pretty specific search though. How did they find you? it must have been that letter I sent them..................... j/k

Thanks guys.
I'll keep everyone informed on what happens. Now, as far as pics of your trucks. For any of you who don't already have pics on my site, send me 2 or 3 of your best pics, and include a description about it and what you've done or want to do. I'll set you up. I would love to have every 73-87 on here for everyone to see. Check this page to see what it would look like. There's also an email link on this page to where you can send them to. http://www.73-87.com/photos/picslink.htm |
