laid off + truck parts =

i have been laid off for the past 6 weeks or so and before i was laid off i had been accumulating parts to change over the cab and do a little engine work...i wish i had the cabbage to go full on resto but that wont be happenin for a while. so i changed the very rotten cab to a darn near mint 72 cheyenne super cab, i put some old headers on it. couple of straight 6 mufflers behind them. i found another rochester 2 barrel. clutch fan.... that 7 blade straight is ridiculous.. and hopefully soon i will have power steering! lol

anyway on to pics....
ohh and there is a a few random rado pics gettin fire wood..... and the exhaust is what it is till i can afford to do diffrent and the plugh wires have been moved... WARNING! CRAP TON OF PICS!

Re: laid off + truck parts =

thanks! yeah it took a few days to do the conversion but it was very well worth the change over! the old cab was so bad i cut it up....... put it this way the when the roof came off the firewall fell forward! lol wicked bad! and the truck acctually sounds really good! its a nice low rumble..... i am thinking about putting the original bumpers on but i need get the front of the frame...... because the previous owner cut it off for a plow... but thats down the road...

Very nice Job!!!!! I commend you on all the hard work and time and your truck looks really nice from your efforts. Enjoy and have fun with it. I really like your wood bumper too, it gives it charicter. I noticed a hubcap missing, do you have them all?

Nice work man! I love the front bumper, any nice finished wood involved in a project is always cool in my book.

Great color!

We call those colors garage colors. So in your case we'd call it "Garage Green".
