I have a BE COOL radiator and a universal twin fan set up from JEGS ran with a SPAL twin fan controler. This step up works AWSOME!

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2
It a stock 02 6.0L with a 02 MAG 112 chager, running 60lb injectors, 4L80E trans, stock 12bolt rear end with 3.73 gears and a limited slip unit. Best time at the track was a 13.60 at 98mph (i had to baby it out of the hole beacause other wise it just spins)

Awesome looking truck! Where did you mount the battery? Looks like the air intake is in the normal battery location?

Very nice color - I really like the wheels and tires. Welcome to the board. Check out SactoJim's pickup - very similar color, and a really beautiful truck as well.

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2
Mind me asking how much the Supercharger set you back $$$$? I was looking at a similar Kenny Bell SC and it was running around $5K to $6K depending on the goodies you got with it. I have thought about doing the same thing to my 04 2500HD. Im sure your truck has got to be pushing close to 500 ponies with that set up. You have one great looking truck and I have thought about putting a 6 Liter in my 67 ShortWide I am building now. I recently found a person who can get a completely new 6 liter, 4l80 tranny, radiator, wiring ECU the whole wiring harness for $3600. Its real tempting. Thanks for any info you can give me on this. One other question, Was the Tranny a pain to install (Crossmembers and just the physical size of the tranny)?
Thanks, JRBECK64 |

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2
I got the blower from a friend that he had found so the blower was $1900, new injectors $360 and a mustag intercooler $150. The way it sits right now its about 425hp. This spring it getting new 243 heads, new cam, and a new style MAG 112 that will push about 12psi (instead of the 8psi i got now). I will be running E85, i figure it will be about 625hp with the new setup. The tranny was easy. Once the motor and trans was sitting in the truck all i had to do was move the trans crossmember backwards a drill new bolt holes in the frame.

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2
Nice setup, I'm doing a similar one myself in my 69 burb. Did you do your tune yourself or take it to a shop? What fuel pump and pressure regulator did you use?

Re: My 68 C10 Blowen LS2
I am running a walbro pump right now (that pump makes A LOT of noise when it gets above 75* outside). I will be running a Aeromotive A1000 pump (yes i dropped the $ for it) for the E85 setup. I sent the ECM to some guy that gets it running but i know that if i have it dyno tuned it will run a lot better/make more HP. I'm using the stock fuel pressure regulator that comes built into the blower setup (i think its 55 psi)
