1967 Chevy C-10 Stepside project truck small window
Gents,
I've been on the board for about a year. Fell in love with the '67 body style and picked one up. Over the past year, i've put over 11k into parts to rebuild her but unfortunately, reality is setting in and i've got a little one on the way so i'm going to have to sell my truck and the parts. I have too many other hobbies like fishing/hunting/shooting so if something has to give, it's the truck. I've got a partial list here of parts. My question is how much is a "fair" price for truck? it's stripped down to the chassis/cab right now and does not come with a motor/tranny. I re-did the rear end suspension/trailing arms. I posted it on craigslist here locally but only got a few hits. Am looking to the seasoned guys here to figure out a price. I put 7500 obo which I think is a steal. here is a partial list of what i've got and what i paid. I'm thinking that $7000 obo is a more then fair price. One other thing that I forgot to mention earlier is that it was originally a 3 on the tree, converted to a 3 on the floor so there is a rectangular hole in the floor for the clutch. The ididit steering column that I got to replace is on the column and is meant for an automatic. Those were my intentions last summer, to convert it to an auto If there are no takers on the entire setup, then I will part it out. All of the parts listed below are brand new and haven't been put on yet. Thanks, Chris rear springs/shocks $175.00 hedman ceramic headers $175.00 front disc brake conversion $875.00 front springs/shocks $150.00 front control arms lower $550.00 front control arms upper $340.00 steering idler arms x2 $28.00/each inner tie rod ends x2 $11.00/each outter tie rod ends x2 $11.00/each tie rod adjusting sleeves x2 $13.00/each control arm bumpers upper front 2 $5.00/each control arm bumpers lower front 2 $9.00/each lower control arm shaft u bolts $29.00 ball joints upper 2 $14.00/each ball joints lower 2 $14.00/each rear axle adjustable track bar $59.00 rear axle control arm bushings 2 $10.00/each rear axle bumpers $16.00 stock rear axle ubolt kit $39.00 front coil springs $86.00 rear coil springs $89.00 rear stock coil spring retainer cups 2 $8.00/each brake proportioning valve $129.00 front outer fenders $400.00/pair front inner fenders $300.00/pair rear mount gas tank kit $275.00 front bumper with built in driving lights(chrome) $375.00 radiator support $200.00 complete wiring set $390.00 headlight harnesses $80.00 halogen bulbs $100.00 exterior rubber weatherseal kit $140.00 starter $149.00 stainless fuel line set $325.00 brake line set $275.00 ididit steering rod $875.00 power steering setup $800.00 be cool radiator $692.00 edelbrock fuel pump $91.00 jegs water pump $100.00 Last edited by wahlie; 04-01-2010 at 10:50 PM. Just my $0.02 here...
You won't find a whole lot of interest in a project truck right now. Unless the price is very cheap. If you finish it then you will be able to recoup most, if not all, or more than invested. That will depend. You will make more money parting it out, but that takes quite a bit of work and time. Just gotta figure out what it is worth to you, both in regards to money and also time.

I agree, more pictures and more details on where you bought the parts. A picture is worth 1000 words

If anyone has any questions please feel free to email me @ wahlie1@gmail.com or msg me on the board. I've got the shop manuals as well as 4 rims from a 2006 chevy colorado and a bunch of other stuff.
