Go to oldcarmanualproject.com
They have complete shop manual you can see [and print if you're bad] for the general 55-59 era GMC [/gmc/5559mm/] and Chevy [can't remember the .com/ extension] and don't see it under my bookmarks but it's there] trucks. Photos are OK and the instructions are very good. Be sure you look at Chevy and GMC manuals since each has a little different info it seems like, and the 2 together will give a better idea what you need.

Re: Need '57 apache window assembly help...

I cannot believe no one mentioned this...

The reprint of the assembly manual. Every parts and/or literature dealer has them.

here - legfit business that has them:

http://www.ecklerstrucks.com/1955-59...ly-manual.html

Funny - they are compiled from Gm assembly documernts and scheatics, but sopmeone did the compilign, yearsa go.

Now all the parts dealers sell them, and they say, "reprint of original".

But they are a book made in recent years FROM all differnt original GM tech. illustrations, reprinted together.

trivia...but get it - it's like $35. and the regular "shop manual" does not cover body service procedures.
