Re: vin numbers

Some one on here should be able to help you. Do you have any pictures of the frame.

Are there numbers and letters on the drivers-side frame just in front of the steering box? Is there a dimple for the steering box? Does it have coils or leaf springs in the back?

These things will help ID the frame.

I have a swb frame under my '67 C-20 that some one cut the number and letters out, but by looking at it I figure it is around a '69 Chevy.

Re: vin numbers

There should be a partial vin on the top of the frame drivers side at the front inline with where the ps pump is. But I don't think you can tell the year.....But I'm not sure.........

Re: vin numbers

on the question of "dimpled frame" were you refering to the fact that pre 67' frames were not dimpled and 76-72' frames were?

Yep, '67 and older did not have the dimple on the frame for the steering box.
