Brought Home a "new" project - it will be years.
Hey,
Just brought home this 1952 Suburban. I have lots of plans for this one. My wife says it starting to look like a perking lot or used car lot here. Now we have a 52 GMC Suburban, 1963 Chevy C-20 truck, 1970 K-10 Suburban and a 1975 C-60 with dual hoist bed. I think that covers most of the body styles. I may be asking a bunch of questions here about different swaps for running gear. I have not made up mind on the engine yet. I need to find out what later front and rear ends will fit. This will be a driver for the road, nice and quite, nothing hot, fast or loud. I'm getting too old for that. Here are a few pics. Thanks, Dan

Re: Brought Home a "new" project - it will be years.
I really got the wife on board when I proposed my 52 GMC Burb go on the Envoy. All the modern conveniences like a/c, heated seats, while eliminating that annoying exhaust smell coming in the back doors or through the garage walls. Plus, for me at least, I think the build will cost less. Considering that I got a running, driving, complete chassis with seats and a no rust floor for $2300! 4 wheel disc, stereo, awd, repairable at the local dealer, & on & on . . .

I like that 'Burb. I'd be tempted to color sand and polish that paint as is. Paint the steelies a nice contrasting color and maybe get a re-chromed grill. It's a beaut as it is already. So complete and nicely preserved.

That is in great shape, compared to my 54 Suburban. By the way love the parking brake.

Re: Brought Home a "new" project - it will be years.
Hey All,
Thanks for the nice comments. The body is really nice except for a couple of spots. You can see in the pictures the hole in front of the left rear fender. Also, the bottom of one of the back doors also needs some panel repair on the inside. As you can see I have plenty of those parking brakes available if anyone is interested. They are only $1 each but the shipping is kinda high ;~) I'll post as I start to work on it. Thanks, Dan
