Time for new gauges! Before new engine.
I have a '85 Silverado with the factory gauges,and want to upgrade to a newer style gauges that will fit in the original holes in the dash. Would like something with easy hook up and be accurate.
Any recommandations? Thanks Coater |

I have been contemplating an Auto Mete gauge set up from Summit. Looking @ 2 5/8" gauges for the fuel, oil pressure, volt/ammeter, water and 5" gauges for the Speedo and the tach. Should run about $ 300-400 dollars depending on the model. They sell the 2 5/8" set up (3 gauges) for about $ 45.00. That tach and the speedo is where all of the money goes

heres mine and i think this is what your looking for. i went with all auto-meter pro-comps the oil and water are liquid filled and i ended up changeing the speedo to a electronic because you can program it to any tire size and if you change tire size you just reprogram it.

Usually I don't like the gauges mounted on the front side of the bezel, but your setup looks really good with the wood grain. Nice job!

I agree! It looks nice with the wood grain.I also have the factory clock in my dash. Do they make a clock also?

auto-meter does just, not in that series. i think sport-comp series does offer one.
