I want to lift my 1999 model gmc 2500 2wd
Hey guys, I have a 1999
 2500 Xcab, 2wd LWB that I'd really like to lift. I know it seems kinda dumb to lift a 2wd, but I live in the DEEP back roads of Texas, and I've already high centered a few times. Anyway, I found a 3inch body lift on line for $295. Good deal? Can anybody show me a few various lifts on these trucks? Because 3" just doesn't sound like much for $295. Any other info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i dont like body lifts plain and simple i had a friend that had a body lift on his truck and he went wheeling needless to say his cab came off. but also if you high centered yyour truck a body lift would not help that. only a spenation lift would

If somebody's cab came off, they didn't do the body lift right. But...
The body lift will only help offroad by letting you put bigger tires. Kits may be lacking for the 99-00 2500 2wd. Yours has coil spring suspension right? The 01-up 2500 2wds have torsion bar.
