Re: 4 spd. linkage pics?

Are you talking about shifter linkage, or clutch linkage? Because a 4spd with the proper tranny in it won't have any linkage to speak of. The SM465 trans is a single rail style with the shifter mechanism mounted directly to the top of the trans and all the working bits are inside the case.

Re: 4 spd. linkage pics?

I guess I should be a little more specific. I am looking for pics for the clutch linkage that comes through the firewall down to the frame that hooks into the sm465. Thanks for the help. Trevor

Re: 4 spd. linkage pics?

Thanks Dave, this is my first 4 spd truck. Nice engine bay and great call on the engine lift cables. Trevor

I do not believe that is stock. The stock linkage through the firewall is not adjustable. The linkage from the z-bar to the clutch fork is. That is a good idea though.

Re: 4 spd. linkage pics?

Also has a single master cylinder - pre 67 something GM but doesn't look like a truck. PS box on a truck is more towards the front and on the outside of the frame rail. BTW, the rubber boot on the clutch rod sticks inside the cab not out. When I put my 70 SWB together I had mine pointing out. When I bought my 70 Burb which was untouched I found it to be pointing inside from the factory. Changed it on the 70 pickup and it fits/works much better. I'll try to take some photos later on today. I have a set up off the truck which I can layout so you can get a "picture" of the set up.

Yeah...that's just a google image seach photo, but it is enough to give you an idea of how it works. The LMC catalog page is better, but remember the view is from INSIDE the frame. Weird, huh?
