ashtray?
are ashtrays different trough the years? i have one but it wont fit in my 72 dash. i took it out of either a 69,70, or 71 (didn't pay attention? OR is it just hard to get in?

im pretty sure they are all the same. if not im sure you could grab a sledge hammer and MAKE it fit

I have heard that 67-8 are diffirent ? Not sure

The early years have ball bearings ( or something like that ) and the later ones just have plastic to slide on. I have a truck of every year out here, I can look tomorrow and see what year changed.

lunatic has it right.
Ball bearings (one large one per side) on 68 and older, and nylon/plastic bushings on 69 and up. I have however seen a couple 72s with an odd set up...I can't remember what was up with them, but I'll try to see if I can find one/pic of one/remember what is up with the couple I've seen. |
