Can I convert my 69 C10 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton?

We have a 1969 C10 longbox... 350/TH400... Can we replace the springs with 3/4 ton springs? I'd like to set this truck up to tow... nothing super heavy, just a flat bed trailer for cars/hay. Has anyone done anything like this?
