I have tic tic tic question....

This just started last night..... and very odd to me but when the truck is running it will tic tic tic tic for like 5 sec then go away for a min the tic again .... its running on a fresh oil change as of last night..... i cant pinpoint the tic i have no idea where it is coming from i just about wore out the broom handle lol... its a bone stock 2 barrel 327 with 190k on it and when i mean it runs smooth you put your hand on the valve cover and you can hardly feel it shake...... any ideas guys?

Re: I have tic tic tic question....

I have two simple suggestions. One would be to first check to make sure the dipstick is seated all the way down, Ive left them before and when the engine starts shaking u can hear it ticking. And second would be an exhaust leak.

PRETTY HARD TO DIAGNOSE FROM HERE BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE PROBLEM MIGHT BE A HYD. LIFTER NOT PUMPING UP. PULL THE VALVE COVER ON THE OFFENDING SIDE, & SEE IF ALL OF YOUR PUSHRODS ARE FLOWING OIL. JOHN
