WIW '71 2wd 6 cyl Blazer?
I "ran across" a 1971 2wd Blazer with a 230 6 cyl (verified 2wd and 6 cyl from the factory, by the VIN), tilt colum (auto trans), power steering, and power disc brakes, VERY straight and solid body (the only rust I saw was a very little bit in the rockers), engine has been rebuilt but never fired, no transmission, no top, no tailgate, no interior, no gauge panel, everything else seems to be somewhat original but it has been primered all over. So whats a fair price for it with a clean title?????

I vote for $1500-$2000. All the stuff that's missing is the most expensive stuff to replace.

Re: WIW '71 2wd 6 cyl Blazer?
I payed $1500 for mine 5 years ago. It was really rusty had no engine, trans, or pretty much anything else. I would say $2500-$4000 depending on condition

Re: WIW '71 2wd 6 cyl Blazer?
Well, it's not mine yet but I am preparing to make a serious offer (cash in hand). I am not sure if I would build it or sell it. It would be cool, and "different" to build it back to stock condition with the 6 cyl and hub caps, but drop it 4/6.

Re: WIW '71 2wd 6 cyl Blazer?
If it truly is a 2wd and in that good of shape I'd say i'd be comfortable paying up to 3k for it. If the rockers look bad the tortion boxes might be bad too...did you check those out? W/out the top it could be all twisted up now if those boxes are gone. I agree some of the parts are expensive, but you can also find a cheap 4X4 with a trashed tub and take those parts off of it.

Re: WIW '71 2wd 6 cyl Blazer?
Here in the rust belt these Blazers are getting very rare... I'd say 3K as long as the primer isn't hiding problems.
