Smile The Toad's first show

Well I'm thinking about taking my 1967 GMC aka the Toad, to it's first show tomorrow in down town Merced Ca.. It's long over due, it hasn't see the streets of Merced since 1993. I wonder if any of the old timers will recognize it.

Re: The Toad's first show

Nice truck. Would that be considered a base model c-10? I'm wondering because I have a 69 with similar gauge cluster, just speedo fuel and turn signal/oil pressure and generator light.

No, That's my son's (rattle can Joe) 66' short fleet, it's not uncommon for it to spend the night.

Thanks,You know it's no secret I've owned a lot of these, but I can't remember when was last time I ran in to another one just like this model, About 2 months ago I had the manifold split for dual exhaust and welded up some used 22" glasspacks, and "viola" instant little hot rod truck, If you ever driven a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed and dual pipes you know what I'm talking about.

No, A good friend of mine found it in a barn, bought it got it running and told me to take it home and pay him later "after I sold it" just six months ago. I paid two weeks later, and decided to keep it.
