No man its about a click or two up it isnt that bad at all. Have to give up some room to have the subs. There shallow mounts and the bass its hard, The setup sounds clean but cant wait to finish it all up.

Re: Audio in your square body's?

I'm using RetroSounds head unit. It's modern electronics for old school cars with post style setup.

JL Audio 4 channel amp, 300 watt with a Boss Audio enclosed/powered sub for a snug fit, with JL Audio 6x9's in the rear and 5.25s up front.

Overall, once tuned, it's an amazing setup. I was skeptical about the RetroSound deck, but it's very impressive and very clean music and I really like the USB input for the deck. Also comes with a remote.

Re: Audio in your square body's?

Kenwood DDX812 double DIN touch screen Head unit with 5.1 channel surround sound, Bluetooth, Ipod control, cd/dvd player, 2 aux RCA inputs for video, garmin navigation capability via Kenwood GNA-K510 nav add on all mounted in my overhead console. I've also got a 1/2 DIN dvd player mounted in the lower section of the stock radio location with switches just above it.
3 Kenwood KCA-5203 350 WATT amps for front, center and rear speakers.
Front speakers consist of JL AUDIO 6.5" COMPONENT speakers mounted in kickpanels and 1.5" tweeters mounted in the "A" pillars just above the the dash speakers that are sony 4". A single sony 4X10 mounted in the factory center of the dash for my center channel hooked up to one of the 3 amps thats bridged for mono use.
rear speakers are a set of sony 4X10's in the stock location as well as a pair of sony 6X9's mounted in speaker boxes and bolted to the 3rd row seat belt mounting holes above the rear wheel wells.
Subs are a pair of 10" MTX in a sub box mounted just behind the drivers side of the rear seat hooked up to a 500 watt Kenwood KCA-6404 amp.
Installed a rear view camera at the top center of the rear window and it's hooked up to a 15" LCD monitor mounted to the center of the dash.

Sorry but that's all the pics I could find for now.

hahhaha you got to have a good system with a clean truck. I like the look on some peoples faces when they see an old truck subbing harder then newer cars, i always pull up to people that have all there rattles and laugh then show them how its supposed to sound. I have some dynomat in my truck going to add a lot more after i paint it.

Longhorn, might be worth checking out RetroSound. All modern electronics. I'm using one in my truck with a nice amp/speaker system and it's very clear and sounds incredible. Couldn't be happier with it, was really surprised it sounded as good as it does.

This is a superb unit for those that don't want to cut their dash yet still achieve good quality audio.

Re: Audio in your square body's?

Ace that has to be by far the cleanest install I have seen done in a square body......I have my seat out now to custom fit a better box for my L5 solobaric if at all possible as someone tried to break into my truck by breaking the passenger side slide glass.
