Well, I've been spending a lot of time in my shop:

Don't mind the mess. You see there the Gentleman Jim, my 84 (blue to the left) and my 86 (white and rust to the right)
In the foreground you see the upside-down shortbox for my 86 and a really nice fender to replace the one on the Gentleman Jim that rusted out when the battery tray failed.

I've been working away on my rear axle for the 84.

I'm rebuilding it and changing the gears from 2.73 (uggh, what were they thinking!!!) to 3.73 (much better, especially with 32" tires!) with all new bearings, axles and a Detroit Truetrac limited slip.

What bearing kit did you go with? Wish I had a shop like that

Looks like you have enough to keep you busy for a long while. My wife would definitely divorce me if I had projects like that. She'd never see me!

My bearing kit is a Precision Gear set from 4wheel Parts Wholesalers. It uses all Timken bearings. (Its actually sitting on the corner of the bed of the white truck in that picture.) The outer axle bearings are from NAPA, I think they are NDH bearings.
