67-72 Seats vs later seats
I have a seat from a '73 GMC Custom deluxe, and it seems like the foam and such is better than my current seat in my '67 GMC. The '73 seat looks similar the the seat that I had in my '72 Chevy, and it does not fold forward. Is it the same seat? can it be bolted onto the 67 brackets?

Re: 67-72 Seats vs later seats
Years ago, I put a seat out of an '82 in my '72. I took a couple of pieces of steel strap and bolted it to the holes in the new seat, then drilled the straps and bolted the original tracks to that. I have seen mention of others just drilling the new seat. In any event, it is different, but quite doable.

Re: 67-72 Seats vs later seats
Look around on the board because I just saw someone who did this and mounted the 67-72 brackets on a 73-87 seat and mounted the front of the brackets in the original spot and then just adjusted the rear of the bracket to bolt to the frame of the seat in the back but cant find the link I had for it sorry
