can someone please id my rear :)
started cleaning the 71 frame and found the rear end id #'s...(i think) they are "THS K126" if these are correct can someone please tell me what gear ratio i have and if its posi?

Where did you locate yours I need to do the same to mine is it stamped on the housing I looked for a tag but couldn't find one...

You probably have a Dana 44 with 3:56 gears... I heard that was what is behind most of the v-6's... that's what lurks behind mine....

I am not sure about the GMC's but on Chevys the code is on top of the passenger side axle tube about six inches out from the carrier housing towards the wheel.

Oh yea I forgot mine has been changed out instead of the 6 lug rearend it's a 5 lug will check for numbers tomorrow Thanks
