Your top three...
Hi everyone. I have a question that I have allways been curious about.
Since we all share the same basic model trucks, What are your top three repairs, improvements, or upgrades that you have done to your truck that increased your enjoyment? Mine are in no particular order: [*]Adding disc brakes [*]Rewiring entire truck with aftermarket harness [*]tightening up front end suspension and steering components Let's hear yours. Keith |

Re: Your top three...
I kept mine stock as an end result, but here are a few that come to mind.
1. Removed the headers, and reinstalled the original ram horns. 2. Removed all the butchered wiring, and reinstalled all new OEM harnesses. 3. Installed quieter mufflers, and ran the tail pipes out behind the rear tire.

Re: Your top three...
Haven't done much besides pour fuel through it like sand down a rat-hole.
I guess if I had to pick three things, in no particular order... 1. HEI 2. Headlamp relays & wiring 3. Shift Improver kit 4. 2.5" Softride front springs OK, so I am mathematically challenged!

Re: Your top three...
1. Threw out the 305 and had rebuilt 350 motor installed (no more oil leaks!)
2.Threw out the TH350 had rebuilt 700r4 installed (no more oil leaks!) 3. re-installed the doors after rust repairs so I could drive it (it sat there for 3 months and I was chomping at the bit) Don't even ask me about my list of least favorite improvements.

Re: Your top three...
On the latest project, the Basic Burb, adding PS, PB, and a 2004R mad it much more pleasurable to drive. They would rank as my top 3.

Re: Your top three...
Fair enough,
HEI, on the 250 I6 Air bags (kept simple using stock locations) Audio - (To be determined) Assuming of course there are no safety issues that need to be addressed immediately. |

Re: Your top three...
Only one significant improvement so far: I replaced the 4 speed transmission with a 5 speed, so I could drive the truck at freeway speeds. I also replaced a blown engine, but just with a stock 305, so I wouldn't call that much of an improvement
On the list: BRAKES! Power Steering Get the fuel tank out of the cab This is a working truck, so there likely won't be any major appearance changes. Ray |
