Thanks

They look like dynomax/summit headers. Paint'em, put them on. They'll work fine. mine do.

Thanks Mike. They have been off for a long time, is there a gasket that goes between the header and exhaust pipe?

yeah there is a gasket go to a local auto parts store and get a pair of exhaust manifold gaskets for a small block chevy if that's what you have anyways. They are cheap under $10

sorry I'm an idiot. there are colector gaskets also. They'll run you about 3 bucks each. You might have to get the other half of the colector's if you didn't get them with the headers.

Personally I would opt for the copper gaskets, they are a little more money but they are re usable and expand and conrtact to compensate diferentiating heating on the metal surfaces

I have the identical headers on my truck, they work great and came with the truck when I bought it. I saw a pair on e-bay and e-mailed the seller and he said they were "Blackjack" as I didn't know myself, later Doug

As for the collector gaskets, try the dead soft alluminum ones, they are awsome.
I have a set that have been on 3 sets of headers, and removed fron these headers at least a dozen times and still seal perfectly almost years later. |

They are most likely Blackjack AK5000 alumacoats. Could be Cyclones as well, the two were sister companies. They were bought by Walker I think? They had a lifetime warranty, and they honored mine for a set of Camaro AK5000 I had. Swapped me for a set of ceramic coateds, but I wasn't all that impressed. They sprayed molten aluminum on the tubes. Pre-dates the ceramic coatings you have now. Those in the pic are a cheap set of headers. The first set of AK's I had were wicked. Big tube, equal length, individual flanges. Rockin'! Let them go with a car I sold, so I bought another set. POS in comparison.
If you've got 'em, might as well run 'em. Heddman is my favorite header manf., but Hookers are good, too.
