SM 465 wire question

Im ready to pull the motor. On the tranny there are two plugs with wires coming out of them, on top and side just fwd of the shifter. The one on the side I was able to pull off but the top one just fwd of the shifter does not want to come off.

Is there a trick to getting this one off?? any idea's what its for.?

Thanks

Re: SM 465 wire question

I believe they are going to be for the reverse lights. If you can't get it off, might just cut the ire with length t splice and deal with it once it is out. Never know what some else might have done to prevent it from coming off.
