anyone know where this water is coming from
I have water leaking into my cab on the drivers side. somwhere under on behind the dash. I find it in my floor boards after a good rain. I have looked alittle but thought maybe yall could help.

My guess is the windshield. I have the same problem.

I've got the same problem, and from what I can tell, it's coming in through the windshield gasket.

Here's some ideas...(long post).
Check your inner kick panels for holes. Chances are very, very good that your truck, like the vast majority, has holes in the plenum formed by that kick panel. It is a funnel for the air that enters the cowl ahead of the windshield and is supposed to comfort your feet in the summer heat.
Accumulations of dirt, leaves, pine needles, bugs, etc., gather in that plenum and can't be removed. Add water (rain, car washes) to the mix and it also can't dry. So, over time, rust will form and ultimately cause holes in the kick panels. Another source is a rusty windshield mount. People sometimes assume that the windshield is the source of the leak and will then use Silastic, or other RTV-type sealers. Many of the RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) sealers contain acetic acid, which causes rust to form where it contacts the painted portion of the cabs. This leads to pinhole rusting and leaks. My bet is that your plenums are rusted and perforated, and this is where the rain leaks into your cab. Mine does, too. The bad thing is that to fix it, I'll have to remove the fenders, and the cowl piece. Then, I'll have to cut holes in the outer piece to gain access to the plenum to fix it. When I do, I'm gonna add a drain to the bottom of it. The inside of the cowl will get a stainless screen to keep trash, leaves, bugs, etc., out of the plenum.

Maybe the windshield, but more likely it is the drip rail on top of the cab. Time to chip out all of the old sealer and re-do it.

You probably should check the drip rail first and work down; it is allot easier to see what I mean when you have the windshield out of the cab. Gravity plays a major role in this theory. The sealant for the body seams being dried out also helps. The water starts at the drip rail near the seam on both sides and follows the seams of the body down the pillars to the seam on the bottom near the dash and then proceeds along the cowl area to the inside of the cab. This pic will show where it starts:

When we check for leaks we start at the cowl where the fender meets and slowly work accross the cowl then up the pillar with a slow running hose and a person inside with a light to pin point the leak. Most of the crap built up in the side cowls can be cleaned out by removing the kick panel vent doors and using a good shop vac with a worn out radiator ( very flexible ) hose attached, when you think it's clean use air pressure through the vent and the shop vac again. When we restore customers cabs we cut the bottom of the cowl plenium on each side 3/4" away from the side to promote water to run through instead of laying there, a screen is good for leaves etc but dust and dirt will still get through and settle at the bottom and turn to mud then rust and that little opening gm put in there is not enough to stop it.

No sorry I bought a new HP digital camera and tried to post pics on ebay and here but the damn thing is a female camera and it will not co-operate with me! Any help is appreciated. The first person that can show me how to get the pictures to the site will get a 50.00 gift certificate for any item in my catalog new or used.

Open a second browser window and go here and open an account:
HP Photo Download the pics from the camera to a folder on your Hard Drive. Upload to your new account at HP Photo. After pics are uploaded when you view the pic there is an option to create a link to an auction. When you select this it will show the pic with allot of text and a button that says highlight text. Select this option. After the text is highlighted click the right mouse button and select copy. Then in the other browser window open the 67-72 Chevy page and select post reply. Then select the img button, right click the blank line and select paste. It should copy all the data from the highlighted data from the Hp Photo page (3 or 4 lines of data) then select ok. And hit the submit reply button. You will get faster the more you do this I have assumed that you are able to transfer pics from your camera. Have fun

I pull the cowl off and then (atleast on non AC trucks) you can reach down and clean most of the crap out by hand.I then go to the Quarter car wash and wash out the plenums.The drains will run pretty good when they clear.I have some rust on the inner side kickpanels but as long as I keep the plenums clean I get no leaks into the cab.It's like a roof.If the water can run off,it won't leak.If it stays it will eventually find a way thru(RUST).
