Almost the same setup as me, minus the over bore, stock 75 jetting, no fuel cooler, have 1.5" longtube headers and glasspacks, I get around 12mpg on average.

250hp crate 350 with long tube headers.
sm465 with np205
3.73 gears

other things are a flatbed (not sure if it helps or hurts) and 35x12.5 inch mud terrains... I get approximately 10mpg with my foot in it 80% of the time... generally 65mph+

my rear end ratio isnt great for the transmission and tires and my motor doesnt have enough torque to pull 3rd (top gear) super strong... when i shift (depending at what rpm i shift) it drops to 1200-1600rpm. and its reletively slow till it hits the 2k mark and then it pulls really strong... i know the 3.73's are helping my mileage though cause when im doing like 75 its only at 2500rpm and 2100rpm when im doing 60-65.... I did the conversion and i wouldnt consider it a weekend transmission swap... its kinda in depth but only barely...

Re: yet another MPG thread

'87 4x4 w/tbi 350. Motor only has about 200 miles on it, but so far I'm getting about 14 mpg. I have no idea what my gear ratio is. PO damaged RPO sheet in glove box. So far, I'm pretty content.

My '86 cc 454 got 5 mpg towing our new trailer back from K.C. 2 summers ago when gas was $4.00 a gallon. That was fun.

Re: yet another MPG thread

My 77 has a GM Ramjet 350 that rated at 350 hp and 400 TQ. I am currently running 3.08 gears with a 700r4. How does it do on MPG? I have no idea, but I can tell you it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. So I guess mine is getting at least 50 SPG (smile per gallon)....
