Anyone build their own hitch?
I couldn't find a hitch I liked for my 69 C10 so I made one out of a stock hitch I bought at a yard sale, it mounts out of sight behind the liscence plate, I lift up the plate to insert the hitch in the reciever. I am getting ready to make one for my 72 GMC 4X4, this time I'm doing it from scratch and thought I would see what others have made. Anyone build their own ? I would like to see some pics! Thanks!

Re: Anyone build their own hitch?
it is just the reciever tube that can be welded on whatever you want. i have built several before for other people. they are not to bad to build. you just need to be a skilled welder with the right equipment.

Re: Anyone build their own hitch?
I am not a skilled welder lol. Not skilled enough for a trailer hitch. I dont wanna weld it to my frame I wanna make it bolt up (grade 8 strong enough?)
So whats a used hitch worth? Gfs uncle has a few hangin around (he wheels n deals alot of stuff). Thanks
