how much does it take to cover a truck? and it seems like the fat mat is the way to go. i have noticed it on ebay. is there one seller better than the other?

I don't know much about this stuff, bu I've seen where alot of people have used some stuff called "quick roof" from Lowes for this kinda thing. It's supposed to work very well and be alot cheaper.

on hot days, "quick roof" will have the interior of your truck smelling like an asphalt plant ... fyi

If they want it super quiet, they place multiple layers. pretty cheap too

Anyone have a good estimate how many sq. feet it takes to do the cab floor/firewall and back of the cab behind the gas tank? I have never heard of the Fat Mat and am going to try to cover my truck in something soon, so anything cheaper than Dynamat would be great!

Order the 100 sq feet kit... should have close to about 20 sq foot left over for doing the doors when all is said and done.

Found this on an audio review website. It's made by the same company but specifically for auto applications. It is about 40% thicker than dynamat or protectowrap quick roof and has really good sound deadening ratings. Alos no smelly asphalt materials.

I am looking at this stuff and you guys with the protecto stuff and fatmat definetly have my attention but back to the OP's original question how many sq ft do you need to do the inside of a cab? The fatmat comes in 100 sqft but that seems like way to much unless I wanted to do the floor, doors and roof. The other stuff comes in 15x"10' rolls so would 3 of those do it?
