Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
The South Florida heat was brutal on Sunday but I managed to get the passenger side truck ralley's on and put some new plumbing from the carb to the fuel pump. There's also 24 inches of steel braided line on the inlet side of the pump. I put new hard line the rest of the way to the in cab tank. (p.s., I didn't forget the small piece of rubber line from the frame to cab transition).
Here's a few pics:

Re: Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
DAMN YOU!! Know i changed my my mind again. I wanted to do red rallies when i bought my truck, then I decided to do the stock silver, know I wanna do red again. It look pretty good though. Did you get a cut to fit braided line for the pump to carb or was it pre-assembled? If you did cut to fit, was it easy to put the fittings on? I also need to get my fuel line finished. Anyway, your truck looks good and the fuel line looks nice and clean too.

As for the Red Ralley's.....Since I have the Red and Black thing going on, it was only right to paint them Red too. Even my Chevy logo's are Red. As for the steel braid lines and fittings, everything was bought seperate. I have a buddy who has the right tools to assemble the lines and AN Fittings.

Re: Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
I guess I'll have to buy the tools. I haven't seen any pre-cut that is short enough for my needs. Oh well, that's just more $ to spend. I guess my wife has my mind made up for me because she told me silver wheels, or she won't ever ride in it. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing i guess.

He bought the tools from Jegs. As for the wife driving in the truck, mine says it's just a truck. She's got her Honda Pilot.

Cool thanks I'll have to thumb thru and pick some up. Ya I'll just tell her love it or hate it, it's my truck and I'll make that decision when the time comes.

Re: Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
why do you want the AN and steel braided lines? It's a lot of money with no real advantage other than the bling factor.

Re: Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
I just don't like the 'ole black rubber hoses and hose clamps and being that they are fuel lines, I didn't mind spending the extra cash. Ok. it was the "bling" factor too.

Re: Red Truck Ralley's and Steel Braided Fuel Line
well, just about anythig is better than rubber.
Make sure you secure that braided line, it will vibrate and eventually cut its way though most anything under your hood. |
