Re: FS: 200 4r transmission and tv bracket

I have a couple more questions for you if you dont mind. I assume this is in your 72 correct? What motor did you have in front of it? Do you know what your gear ratio and cruising rpm was? I'm looking to do a swap from a turbo 400. Does the 200 drop right in or did you have to modify the cross memeber, driveshaft, and what not.
Thanks
Eric

Re: FS: 200 4r transmission and tv bracket

First off, correction I have $1000 in rebuild not $1100. I do have the paper work on it. It was built on 4-12-07. I only drive it in the summer, April thru October, about 1800 miles a year. I had a 355 sbc in front of it. 3.07 rear gear. I had a TH 350 and swapped to the 200 4r, because they are the same length, no driveshaft mod. Just slide the crossmember back to next set of holes, reuse old trans mount from th350, 400's might be different. Install and adjust TV cable. You need a new brake light switch, with an extra set of pins on it, to unlock convertor when you step on brake. I purchased everything thru www.bowtieoverdrives.com 26" tall tire, 3.07 gear, 65 mph about 2000 rpm.

Thanks for the info. I'm no where near ready for the trans but I wanted to run a 200 and I thought this was a good price. trying to decide...

I will check tomorrow. Will be Old Dominion Freight. I can get a discount thru them. Will it be a dock delivery? It would be cheaper, otherwise it would be an extra $50 liftgate fee. I'm guessing $100-170.

TTT needs to leave my garage. Fluid is nice and bright red. Crossmember not included, I used it for my new 4L65.

Do you know how stout it was built? Approximately how much motor will it hold up to?
