68 front park lamp question/help pls
It has been a long long time since I took my truck apart. I was looking at the front park lamp buckets today that go in the lower grille opening. I cannot remember how they bolt in. Anyone have a good pic of how these mount. I was thinking the two studs on the bucket bolted to the grille, but now I don't see where. There is not lip for them to attach to. Is there a bracket or something I am missing?
thx

Do you have the two grill inserts installed? Ya' know, the two sheet metal pieces that go inside the two grille openings. The bottom one has reliefs and mounting holes for the park lamps. Hopefully the picture will help.

That is what I am missing. They were missing when I originally bought the truck I think.
Any ideas where I can get those inserts?

Check the parts board and see if anybody in your area has a set. Craigslist or local wrecking yards might pan out too. I checked with a few of the board vendors and I don't see anybody who sells reproductions. I would sell you mine, but I'm still undecided if I want to run a GMC or Chevy front end.
Good Luck on your search.

BTW- Checked with classic parts and I didn't see any of those grill inserts- so I'm kinda thinkin' they will need to be found used.
