In search of '68 C10 vin#CS148F110469
Looking for this specific pickup if anyone might have it or know where to find it.. VIN# CS148F110469
Should be '68 C-10, L6, stepside, built at Flint. It was sold new to Fred Van Schoyck Of Wasington Court House, Ohio. I don't know much else about it. Also, please forgive me if this does not belong here.

Yeah, I have hope though. Not all of them in this area died, maybe it made it too.

would this be a truck from your childhood or something?
You tried contacting the BMV? I've recently been told they slacked off on the privacy rules. |

Re: In search of '68 C10 vin#CS148F110469
Nope. It may sound odd, but my brother was at an estate sale or something several years ago in Hilliard. He found the original owner's manual, warranty card w/protect-o-plate and clear envelope, so he bought it for me. I figured if it was still around, it was meant to be my next project. Or at the very least, the owner would probably like to have the manual and protect-o-plate.
I know there is the Ohio Title Search online, but I don't recall it working with the old VINs.

I haven't seen any 68 short steps on the road here in Hilliard... always looking at every truck I see too.

Ah ha! I have a lead. The Ohio title search shows it in the system as recent as 2005 and the title status is "active". It's shown as being in Madison county too.
