67/68 look "flat". 69-72 have head light buckets welded to the support and they "pop out."

You can turn a chevy into a gmc or vice versa by swapping/welding headlight buckets too.

thanks for the link gkesseru, so it can be done but not easily. so from what I'm gathering the 67/68 will not have the stamped metal piece that the headlight bucket on a 69-72 connects to? it will have the square holes directly in the radiator support?

Yes to question on 69 and on having an extra bucket welded on. Problem is that on these panels GM didn't worry about where the hole is and how big it was.

Re: what's the difference in 67/68 radiator support vs. 69-72?

Other than the headlight bucket, are there any size/shape differences between the 67-68 and 69-72. Will the 69-72 fit a 67 if the headlight buckets are removed? ROBO

Re: what's the difference in 67/68 radiator support vs. 69-72?

I have a 69 support panel that I modified for my 68. Note that it does need to be modified for the headlight holes. The rest is the same. See the thread 3 messages above.
