7K factory lookalike tach?

Are those stock looking 7K tachs coming out of the 70's Camaro's? I have a factory tach in my truck and it will only go to about 5,300RPM and I run my motor past that. So I will need to sell my factory guages with the tach and either put together a guage set with an Autometer tach or else find one of those 7K tachs. And trades would be considered if anybody has one or something.

Yep. They are in the 70-81 Camaros. Buy the whole cluster for about $30 and you can use the clock in the lower unused hole on our bezels. That's what I'm doing.

I could make you one of mine if you are interested. I would consider a trade.

72chevyLWB- Dude, where have you been? I remember you posting pics of your truck like 9 months ago. Where'd you go the whole time? Later.

Here's a Camaro tach installed for that very reason. I needed a good tach to show 6k

Just a thought...if you are gonna spin your engine that high, do you really want a 20+ yr old tach to moniter it?
If you want to keep a good eye on the speed of your engine, and your gonna spin it that high, the only way to go is aftermarket.
Even the Camaro tachs were not all that acurate back in the day.
