what aftermarket front bumpers are made for our trucks?

ive always seen theese badass front bumpers on newer trucks and thought why dont they make any for older trucks? so i know some exist somewhere, anyone have pictures??

your best bet would be to fab your own if you have the tools. or have a shop build one exactly how you want... a good pre built front bumper can set you back $1000. you could build one for $100ish or have a shop build one for way more..

i checked out those bumpers....freaking crazy exspensive...any bumpers any normal guy could afford? those bumpers cost more than i got in my whole truck!!!!

those are a bit overboard.. I was just using them as an example of what bumpers I was talking about.. Honestly your best bet is get your own made... find a buddy who can weld... use angle for the frame and plate to cover it. thats how i've seen it done and helped. or you could make a not as sleak one out of a certain size tube..

you dont have to be good at welding. just good at grinding. it will take alot of hours to make a top notch one.

yea ive always wanted to build one but i just dont have the time. ive thought of many types ranging from tube bumpers to plate bumpers painted, powder coated and line-x. but still being in the dreaming stage i just need some inspiration. i know some people have made or bought badass bumpers for these trucks. who has pictures???

i like this but its too plain, and the gap is a turn off but that easily fixable.

I don't have the filler piece in, one that holds the bottom of the grille.

That one is plane, but you can get a winch mount, frenched license plate, driving lights, sure there is more.

Also that pic doesn't look as good in grey, I've since painted it black, looks alot better.

like what kind of bumper you want? Ive seen some different ones with like phamtom style cutouts.....smooth with license plate on left or right etc...or do you want a off road bumper?

i want an offroad bumper that looks mean maybe with a winch built in and some offroad light mounts. something that just screams damn i dont want to collide with that thing haha.

Homemade. Used a stock bumper as a starting point to build off of. Made a step-bumper for the rear in the same style. It's a little plain but I plan to cut some more angles in it when I re-do the truck next year. Maybe some lights, too.

Those bumpers look pretty cool but for 1500 bucks you could most likely buy your own wire feed welder, a plasma cutter, grinder+disks and some literature on fabricating stuff. You cant put a price on the satisfaction of creating something from raw material by hand with nothing but a mental image of what you think it should look like.

My example:
I wanted to change the look of my Dads little Jeep truck, every after market bumper I found was WAYYYYYYY expensive and the only affordable ones were basically a straight piece of square tubing with tabs welded on.

I spent around 100 bucks for steel, 10 bucks on spray paint, 10 bucks for some weld on D-rings and another 20 for a set of cheesy harbor freight off road lights. My Dad has been using the bumper to push cars and other stuff around his property for the past couple years with no problems, he said its been very usefull.
