96 Vette LT1 engine swap
I have found a complete donor 96 Corvette w/ a 5.7 LT1 6speed I got everything does anyone know what all I will need off the car to do the swap over? I want to keep it automatic so I will find a 700r-4 later. I will be putting it in my 69 C10 pick up. I don,t have the keys for the ign and I want to fire it up before I disassemble it, will I have to get around the VATS? I will part out all the car after I get what is need to do the swap any thoughts?

Re: 96 Vette LT1 engine swap
Nope, you can just go to the relay and bypass VATS. If you are looking for a more permanent solution you can use a resistor to simulate the pellet in the key. Go here for more info.

Re: 96 Vette LT1 engine swap
When the car rolled over in the crash it hit a rock going over the bank and broke the 2 top mounting ears. They could be welded back on.
