I have a couple questions
Am in the process of replacing things on my 1971 Cheyenne. I removed the dash pad and underneath it said inspected 4/10/1972. Also this truck has 72 style rear view mirror on windshield and what look original 72 style door panels.
Has anyone else come across this on their 71? Jim Kirks |

I guess your truck is an early '72....titled as a '71....
Seriously, are you sure that your truck is a '71? Does the VIN match the title? My brother bought a '72 that had an Alabama title. He found out that another truck in Tennessee also had the same title. Ditto for my niece in north Georgia. Some states don't require titles if the vehicle is X years old. Not saying your truck isn't legit, but you raised the issue with your questions.
