4L60E Diagrams and Rebuild Info

Ok, I know a lot of us (me included) are doing the 5.3L/4L60e swaps in our trucks. I found this info on the net and thought I would share.....Get it while you can, I have no idea how long these links will be working. Enjoy!!

Some diy tools.....
http://www.mez.co.uk/Chevy700r4pg5.html

Some of the info below is from EFIlive, Im just hotlinking it for everyones convenience:

First, what everyone is most likely interested in:

In this zip file:
4L60-E Overhaul.doc <-------thats as in complete overhaul step by step
4l60-e.electronic.controls.pdf
4L60-E hydraulic schematic key.pdf
4L60-E hydraulic schematics.pdf
4l60e manually shift conversion.pdf
I already tried it, its virus free

The above link does not open a web page but, rather it is a download 8Mb or so....with all the info you just have to download and unzip.

One web forum thread with a pictoral tear down:

One web forum thread with lots of pics that follows the ATSG manual well
http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=631230

One web site with for DIY J-Tools also has a decent 700r4 upgrade with nice hard parts and the proper 3-4 clutch pack.

A few free basic youtube vids for dissasembly of the 4l60e
Valve body install
Valve body removal
Valve body teardown shiftkit
Servo removal
Servo Install
Spring Compressor

I would still recomend getting the full DVD's and ATSG manuals
